Does Hair Gel Cause Hair Loss?
Gels, creams, waxes and colourings are all part of many people’s daily hair care routine. Whether you are looking for a slick professional look or a ruffled, textured style, hair gel is often central to achieving the look you are after. Does Hair Gel Speed Up Male Pattern Baldness?
In short, no. There is no scientific evidence to suggest that hair gel accelerates or causes hair loss in men or women. Androgenetic alopecia occurs due to factors such as elevated dihydrotestosterone levels (DHT) or increased sensitivity of hair follicles, influenced by illness or stress.
Styling products may cause hair to thin, or can highlight already thinning hair, but it won’t cause irreversible hair loss.

- Avoid tight hairstyles where you can.
