Where average hair loss could see people loose 100 hairs a day naturally, during telogen effluvium people are more likely to notice loss of 300 hairs in a day. This tends to begin after 2-3 months of your rapid weight loss.

How Long Does Hair Loss Last?

While hair loss can be concerning, shedding caused by weight loss is usually temporary and reversible. As the body adapts to the weight loss, hair growth typically returns to normal. Most people experiencing hair loss will see regrowth within six to twelve months once treatment has stabilised.
