Paracetamol Infant 120mg/5ml Oral Suspension (100ml)

This medicine contains paracetamol which acts to relieve mild to moderate pain including toothache, teething pain, headache and other pains. It can also be used to relieve the symptoms of colds and flu and to reduce fever, including fever after vaccinations at 2 months of age. 

Active Ingredient

Paracetamol 120 mg/5ml. 

Other Ingredients

Maltitol liquid (E965), sorbitol (E420), methyl hydroxybenzoate (E218), carmoisine (E122), propylene glycol (E1520), benzyl alcohol.

Shake the bottle for at least 10 second before use.

3 – 6 months:

• Give 2.5ml (60mg) up to four times a day.

6 months – 2 years:

• Give 5ml (120mg) up to four times a day.

2 – 4 years:

• Give 7.5ml (180mg) up to four times a day.

4 – 6 years:

• Give 10ml (240mg) up to four times a day.

Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not give more than four doses in a 24hr period. After use replace the cap on the top of the bottle tightly. Use the syringe or spoon for easy administration of medication. Always wash the syringe or spoon in warm water and allow to dry after each use. For oral use only.

Precautions

• Not suitable for children under 3 months old.
• Check the cap seal is not broken before first use. 
• Do not give anything else containing paracetamol while giving this medicine. 
• Always use the syringe supplied with the pack. The syringe can be used to measure 2.5ml or 5ml by drawing the liquid to the correct mark on the syringe.
• If your child is allergic to any of the ingredients.
• Talk to your pharmacist or doctor if your child has liver or kidney problems.

Storage

• Store below 25°C.
• Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.  
• Store in the original package.
• Keep out of of sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include: 

• Mild stomach upset 
• Nausea 
• Occasional vomiting 

Uncommon side effects can include: 

• Rash 
• Itching 
• Redness
