What is Cialis?
Tadalafil is the active ingredient in Cialis, a medication prescribed to adult men who experience erectile dysfunction – the inability to achieve or maintain a penile erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. It increases blood flow to the penis and takes effect within 30 minutes, lasting up to 36 hours. Cialis comes in 10mg and 20mg doses.
How do I take Cialis?
- The recommended dose is 10 mg taken prior to anticipated sexual activity and with or without food. If tadalafil 10 mg does not produce an adequate effect, 20 mg might be tried. It should be taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity, and the maximum dose frequency is once per day. Tadalafil 10 and 20 mg are intended for Please remember to take the recommended dose of 10 mg prior to anticipated sexual activity, with or without food. If you find that tadalafil 10 mg is not effective enough, you can try taking 20 mg. It’s important to take it at least 30 minutes before sexual activity and not more than once per day. Please note that tadalafil 10 and 20 mg are only intended for use prior to anticipated sexual activity and should not be taken daily.
- If you anticipate frequent use of CIALIS (i.e., at least twice weekly), please consider taking the lowest dose once a day, at the same time each day. The recommended dose is 5 mg, but you can decrease it to 2.5 mg if you find that you are not tolerating it well. Please consult with your physician before making any changes to your dosage.use prior to anticipated sexual activity and are not recommended for continuous daily use.
- For patients anticipating frequent use of CIALIS (i.e., at least twice weekly), a once daily regimen with the lowest doses might be considered suitable, based on patient choice and the physician’s judgment. In these patients, the recommended dose is 5 mg taken once a day at approximately the same time each day. The dose may be decreased to 2.5 mg once a day based on individual tolerability.

- The most common side effects include headaches, feeling sick, hot flushes, and dizziness. Many men experience no side effects or only mild ones.
