Two thirds of people with coeliac disease are undiagnosed. It’s not an allergy; it’s an immune reaction to gluten. When gluten is eaten, the immune system attacks its own tissue, damaging the gut and preventing the body from absorbing nutrients. Our test kits detect anti-DGP antibodies in the blood, an indicator for coeliac disease.

Follow this step-by-step guide on how to use our coeliac self-testing kits:

  • Open the vial by unscrewing the white cap, keep the cap for later.
  • Twist off and dispose of cap of the lancet.
  • Clean  your fingertip with the alcohol swab.
  • Press lancet against your fingertip.
  • Massage the pricked fingertip to obtain a blood sample.
  • Put the dropper in contact with the blood and draw it up to the fill line.
  • Drop the collected blood into the opened vial.
  • Replace the cap and mix the solution for 10 seconds.
  • Remove the blue cap and drop 3 drops of solution into the test cassette.
  • Wait 10 minutes for the coloured line and read your results.
  • Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.
  • Take a photo of your test results to share with a healthcare professional.
Precautions
  • Coeliac self-testing kits are suitable for those suffering with symptoms including bloating, wind, mouth ulcers, diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, and/or anaemia.
  • Results are shown within 10 minutes.
  • This test uses a blood sample. The box includes lancets for safe sample gathering.
  • While all of our tests are accurate, no test is 100%. They are designed to help you begin your health journey. They should be considered alongside clinical information and discussed with a clinician.
  • If your test gives unclear or invalid results, it is usually due to an insufficient sample volume or an incorrect procedure. If this happens, review the directions and repeat the process using a new test. Do not retry using the initial test.
