What Happens Once I’m Registered for NHS Prescriptions?

Once you’ve nominated us as your NHS pharmacy, any electronic prescriptions your GP issues will be sent to us directly via the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). This secure digital system eliminates the need for paper prescriptions, trips to the GP, or additional follow-ups. Your prescription is automatically transmitted to our pharmacy the moment your GP signs it off.

If you’re on repeat medication, it’s important to know you’ll still need to request your repeat prescriptions yourself. You can do this directly through your GP, by phone, in person, or via the NHS App. We don’t manage the repeat request itself. But once your GP sends us the prescription, we take care of everything from that point on.

As soon as we receive your prescription:

1. Our qualified pharmacist thoroughly checks it for accuracy, safety, and any potential concerns.

2. If there are any problems such as stock shortages, dosage questions, or unclear instructions, we will contact you or your GP. We do this as soon as possible to avoid any delays.

3. Once approved, your medication is carefully prepared and packed in discreet, secure packaging.

We dispatch your medication via Royal Mail, and standard delivery is completely free. You’ll receive regular updates and tracking information so you’ll know exactly when to expect your order. In most cases, medications arrive within a few working days, depending on Royal Mail services and when we received your prescription. If you need your medication urgently, please get in touch with us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.
