Ultra Chloraseptic Throat Spray 0.71% (15ml)
A fast-acting numbing spray that offers a soothing effect.
Age Restricted Product
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase this product. By adding this item to your basket, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or over.
The spray is formulated with a fast-acting local anaesthetic. It provides targeted relief by delivering the spray straight to the site of pain, to numb sore throat pain fast.
Active Ingredients
Benzocaine 0.71%.
Other Ingredients
Ethanol, macrogol 300, propylene glycol, glycerol, cetylpridinium chloride, saccharin sodium, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, flavourings (levomenthol, blackcurrant), purified water.
Children aged 6 to 12 years old:
- Only use under adult supervision
- Activate the pump
- Hold breath
- Spray three times to the back of the throat
- Repeat every two to three hours if required
Adults and children over 12 years old:
- Activate the pump
- Hold breath
- Spray three times to the back of the throat.
- Repeat every two to three hours if required
Do not use more than eight times a day. Do not use for more than three days in a row. For oral use only.
Precautions
- Not suitable for children under 6 years old.
- Do not use if you have difficulty breathing, or difficulty swallowing.
- Do not use if you are allergic to benzocaine or any of the other ingredients. Do not use if you have a blood condition called methaemoglobinaemia.
- Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Contains small quantity of alcohol (>0.006 units per spray).
Storage
Store below 25°C.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Common side effects can include:
- Temporary numbness of the mouth and throat. Avoid eating or drinking while numb.
Uncommon side effects can include:
- Mild irritation or a burning sensation in the throat after use (usually temporary).
- Local irritation from excipients, such as propylene glycol.
If difficulty breathing or swallowing, facial or mouth swelling, or persistent throat pain lasting more than 3 days, consult medical advice.
