Strepsils Throat Lozenges Strawberry Sugar Free (36)

Strepsils Strawberry Sugar Free Lozenges are designed to soothe sore throats by slowly releasing the active ingredients to fight throat infection and reduce discomfort. Providing targeted relief from pain, irritation, and scratchiness. The Strepsils’ sugar free recipe means they are suitable for people with diabetes, while still offering the pleasant strawberry flavour. 

Active Ingredients

2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg, amylmetacresol 0.6mg

Other Ingredients

Strawberry Flavour (containing propylene glycol, fragrance allergen benzyl alcohol), anthocyanins (E163), saccharin sodium (E954), tartaric acid, isomalt (E953), maltitol syrup (E965).

Adults and children over 6 years old:  

• Suck one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2 – 3 hours.  

Do not exceed 12 lozenges in a 24hr period. For oral use only.

Precautions 

• Not suitable for children under 6 years old.
• To be used with caution in young children due to choking risk. 
• Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
• This product contains isomaltitol and maltitol syrup which may have a mild laxative effect if several are taken a day.
• If you are pregnant, or if you have been told by your doctor that you have intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this product.
• May cause allergic reactions, including asthma. This is more common if you are allergic to aspirin.
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.

Storage

Store below 25 °C.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include: 

• Mild oral or throat discomfort slight irritation, tingling or burning sensation while sucking the lozenge
• Mouth irritation 

Uncommon side effects/allergic reactions can include: 

• Hypersensitivity (allergic) reactions such as rash or hives
• Swelling of mouth/throat (angioedema) is rare but possible with an allergy to ingredients
