Strefen lozenges are medicated throat sweet used for short-term relief of sore throat symptoms. They work by slowly dissolving and delivering direct targeted relief where it’s needed most. Helping to reduce pain and inflammation while soothing irritation for up to four hours.

Active Ingredients

Flurbiprofen 8.75mg 

 

Other Ingredients

Liquid sucrose, liquid glucose, honey, macrogol 300, lemon flavour, potassium hydroxide, levomenthol.

Adults and children over 12 years old:

  • Suck one lozenge slowly every three to six hours as required. Always move the lozenge around your mouth whist sucking.

Do not use for more than 3 days. For oral use only.

Precautions
  • Not suitable for children under 12 years old.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to flurbiprofen, aspirin, other NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) medicines, or to any other ingredient of the product.
  • Do not take if you are taking other NSAID medicines.
  • Do not take if you have a history of heart, kidney or liver failure.
  • Do not take if you have (or have had two or more episodes of) a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding in the stomach or intestines, or severe colitis.
  • Do not take if you have ever had problems when your blood did not clot properly.
  • Do not take if you are in your last trimester of pregnancy.

 

Storage

Store below 25 °C.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include: 
  • Mouth or throat irritation while sucking the lozenge  
  • Mild stomach upset  
  • Diarrhoea or mild gastrointestinal discomfort 

 

Uncommon side effects can include: 
  • Oral ulcers or mouth sores  
  • Stomach ulcers, bleeding or serious gastrointestinal effects
