Sodium cromoglicate eye drops are a topical eye drop treatment for the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis such as red, water, itchy, and puffy eyes. Symptoms are triggered by an allergic reaction to pollen, house mites, and other allergens, which commonly flare up during hay fever season (typically starting in March). Sodium cromoglicate is an anti allergic treatment that works by stopping the release of histamine, which the body naturally produces when it comes into contact with an allergen.
