Savlon Antiseptic Cream (0.5%)

Active ingredients

Cetrimide 0.5%w/w, Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.1% w/w. 

Other Ingredients

Cetostearyl Alcohol, Liquid Paraffin, Methyl Hydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl Hydroxybenzoate (E216), Disodium Edetate, Perfume (including Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral) & Purified Water.

Adults and Children: 

• Wash hands thoroughly before and after the application.
• Clean the affected area with clean water and pat dry. 
• Gently apply the cream to the wound using your fingers or gauze.
• For cuts and small wounds, protect the affected area with a plaster or non-adherent dressing. Burns and scalds are best left uncovered. 
• Repeat the process if required.

Precautions

• Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed in the Patient Information Leaflet. 
• For external use only, do NOT swallow. 
• Contact your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. 

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. 
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.  
• Store below 25°C. 
• Use within 12 months of opening.

Uncommon side effects: 

• If you have sensitive skin you may experience discomfort.
