Robitussin 7.5mg/5ml Dry Cough Oral Solution (100ml)

Robitussin Dry Cough syrup works by relieving dry persistent coughs by controlling the cough flex. It provides a soothing effect that can help get rid of irritation at the back of the throat, either a tickle or stubborn irritation. It is a sugar free syrup. 

Active Ingredients

Dextromethorphan 7.5mg/5ml 

Other Ingredients 

Glycerol, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (carmellose sodium), sodium benzoate (E211), disodium edetate, maltitol (E965), ethanol (alcohol) ~2.5% v/v, citric acid, anhydrous, amaranth (E123, colour), caramel (E150, colour), levomenthol, cherry/grenadine flavour, sorbitol solution (70%) / sorbitol (E420), sodium cyclamate, acesulfame potassium (sweetener), purified water.

Shake the bottle well before use.

Adults and children over 12 years old:

• Take one 10ml measure up to four times a day.

For oral use only.

Precautions

• Not suitable for children under 12 years old.
• This medicine can make you feel sleepy. Do not drive while taking this medicine until you know how it makes you feel.
• Do not use if cap seal is broken when purchased.
• Stop taking the medicine and seek urgent medical advice if you experience any of the following:
• Signs of a severe allergic reaction (e.g., swelling of face/throat, trouble breathing)
• This medication contains a small amount of alcohol (ethanol), 22mg/ml.

Storage

Store below 25°C.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include: 

• Stomach upset (nausea, abdominal discomfort)  
• Dizziness or light-headedness  
• Drowsiness (feeling sleepy) 

Uncommon side effects can include: 

• Stomach discomfort
• Rapid heart rate (rare, potentially related to hypersensitivity or withdrawal effects) 
• Severe allergic reaction (swelling of face or throat, trouble breathing)
