Paracetamol is used to relieve mild to moderate pain for headachestoothache and muscle pain, as well as used for reducing fevers. These effervescent tablets can be dissolved in water before use, making them easier to swallow. They act slightly faster than standard tablets due to quicker absorption.

Paracetamol 500mg

 

Other Ingredients

Aspartame (E951), sorbitol, sodium.  

 

Children aged 12 to 15 years old:

  • Take one tablet every 4 to 6 hours as required.
  • Place the tablet in a full glass of water.
  • Allow to dissolve completely before swallowing.

Do not take more than one tablet at a time. Do not take more than four tablets in a 24hr period. For oral use only.

 

Adults and children over 16 years old: 

  • Take one or two tablets every 4 to 6 hours as required.
  • Place the tablet in a full glass of water.
  • Allow to dissolve completely before swallowing.

Do not take more than two tablets at a time. Do not take more than eight tablets in a 24hr period. For oral use only.

 

Precautions
  • Do not take anything else containing paracetamol while taking this medicine.
  • Talk to a doctor at once if you take too much of this medicine, even if you feel well.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.
  • Talk to your pharmacist or doctor if you have kidney problems or liver problems before taking.
  • Discuss with a pharmacist or doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking.
  • Tablets contain high levels of sodium, which should be noted for those on low-salt diets. 
Storage

Store below 25°C.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight.

Keep tablets in the original tube or packaging with the lid tightly closed to protect from moisture.

Do not store in bathrooms or near sinks, as humidity can cause the tablets to react prematurely.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include: 
  • Nausea 
  • Stomach discomfort or upset 
  • Mild indigestion 

 

Uncommon side effects/allergic reactions can include: 
  • Allergic skin reactions, such as: 
  • Rash 
  • Itching
  • Hives
  • Swelling of the face, lips, or throat
