Otrivine Sinusitis Relief Nasal Spray is designed to quickly ease blocked nasal passages caused by sinusitis, colds, or allergies. It works within minutes to help you breathe more freely by reducing swelling inside the nose and clearing excess mucus. Formulated with xylometazoline hydrochloride, it helps shrink swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages, providing fast and effective relief. Its targeted spray delivers a precise dose directly where it’s needed, helping to relieve sinus pressure and discomfort. With long-lasting effects of up to 10 hours, it offers reliable relief throughout the day or night.
Active Ingredients
Xylometazoline Hydrochloride (0.1% w/v).
Other Ingredients
Benzalkonium Chloride, Sodium Phosphate, Disodium Edetate, Sodium Acid Phosphate, Sodium Chloride, Sorbitol, Hypromellose and Purified Water.
For adults and children over 12 years of age:
- 1 spray in each nostril up to 3 times daily.
Precautions
- Not suitable for children under 12 years.
- Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
- Do not use if you have had recent brain surgery or have narrow-angle glaucoma.
- Contact a doctor before use if you have an overactive thyroid, diabetes, heart or circulation problems, high blood pressure, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are taking tri- or tetracyclic antidepressants.
- Do not use if you have had recent neurosurgery or nasal surgery, have narrow-angle glaucoma, have very dry or inflamed nasal passages, have an enlarged prostate, have an adrenal gland tumour (phaeochromocytoma), or are taking MAOIs/ betablockers or have stopped them within the last 14 days.
- To avoid possible spread of infection, this pack should only be used by one person.
- Do not exceed 3 applications daily into each nostril.
Storage
- Store below 25°C.
- Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.
- For reasons of hygiene do not use this bottle for more than 28 days after opening it.
Common side effects may include:
- Headache
- Nasal dryness
- Nasal discomfort
- Nausea
- Local irritation after use
