Otrivine Adult Nasal Drops 0.1% (10ml)

Otrivine Adult Nasal Drops provide fast and effective relief from nasal congestion caused by colds, hay fever, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis. The easy-to-use drops work directly inside the nose to help you breathe more freely. Formulated with xylometazoline hydrochloride, they reduce swelling in the nasal passages and help clear excess mucus. This action opens up blocked airways quickly, with relief starting in as little as 2 minutes and lasting for several hours. Ideal for targeted relief when you need to ease a blocked or stuffy nose.

Active Ingredients

Xylometazoline Hydrochloride (0.1% w/v).

Other Ingredients

Sodium Chloride, Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Acid Phosphate, Disodium Edetate, Benzalkonium Chloride, Sorbitol, Hypromellose and Water.

Adults and children over 12 years:

• Clear your nose.
• Lean head back as far as is comfortable.
• Apply the drops into each nostril and keep head back for a short time.
• Clean and dry the dropper before replacing it back.
• 2 to 3 drops in each nostril up to 3 times daily. Do not exceed 3 applications daily into each nostril.

Precautions

• Not suitable for children under 12 years.
• Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
• Do not use if you have had recent brain surgery or have narrow-angle glaucoma.
• Contact a doctor before use if you have an overactive thyroid, diabetes, heart or circulation problems, high blood pressure, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are taking tri- or tetracyclic antidepressants.
• Do not use if you have had recent neurosurgery, have narrow-angle glaucoma, have very dry or inflamed nasal passages, have an enlarged prostate, have an adrenal gland tumour (phaeochromocytoma), or are taking MAOIs or have stopped them within the last 14 days.
• To avoid possible spread of infection, this pack should only be used by one person.

Storage

• Store below 25°C.
• Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• For reasons of hygiene do not use this bottle for more than 28 days after opening it.

Common side effects may include:

• Headache
• Nasal dryness
• Nasal discomfort
• Nausea
• Local irritation after using the drops
