Nurofen Pain Relief 256 mg Caplets provide fast relief from mild to moderate pain and fever. They contain ibuprofen 256 mg helping to reduce pain, inflammation and temperature. Suitable for headache, backache, period pain, dental pain, muscle aches, migraine, and cold/flu symptoms.

Active Ingredient

Ibuprofen 256mg

Other Ingredients

Gelatine, polyethylene glycol, potassium hydroxide, purified water, colourings.

 

Adults and children over 12 years old:

  • Take one or two caplets every 4 – 6 hours as needed.

Do not take more than six caplets in a 24hr period. Swallow caplets whole; do not chew or crush. For oral use only.

Precautions
  • Not suitable for children under 12  years old.
  • Take with food or after meals to reduce the risk of stomach irritation.
  • Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary.
  • Do not take if you have previously had an allergic reaction to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, or if you have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding 
  • Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have asthma, heart, kidney, or liver problems, or if symptoms persist. 
Storage

Store below 25 °C.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.

Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Common side effects may include:
  • Discomfort or pain in the stomach
  • Indigestion or heartburn
  • Bloating or wind
  • Nausea
  • Mild headaches and dizziness
Uncommon side effects may include:
  • Stomach ulcers or bleeding
  • Worsening of asthma symptoms for those with asthma
  • Fluid retention causing swelling of the ankles, feet, or hands
  • Skin reactions
