Murine Hayfever Relief Eye Drops are soothing eye drops formulated to relieve and treat the eye symptoms associated with hayfever and seasonal allergies, which are most commonly experienced during early spring and summer.
They contain the active ingredient Sodium Cromoglicate, an anti allergic ingredient used for the relief and treatment of allergic eye symptoms such as redness, itching and watering. Sodium Sromoglicate works by helping to reduce the body’s allergic response.
Active ingredient
Sodium Cromoglicate 2% w/v.
Other ingredients
Disodium Edetate, Benzalkonium Chloride and Water.
For adults and children age 6 and over:
Place one or two drops into each eye four times daily.
- Wash hands before use.
- Tilt your head back and carefully pull down your lower eyelid.
- Without touching the eyelid with the tip of the dropper, put one or two drops into your lower lid and then blink a few times to make sure your whole eye is covered by the liquid.
- Place one or two drops into each eye four times daily.
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface.
If there is no improvement after 2 days of use, then contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Do not use in children under 6 years of age.
- Do not use if you or your child are allergic to sodium cromoglicate or any of the other ingredients.
- Avoid contact with soft contact lenses. For all other types of contact lenses: Remove contact lenses prior to application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose or frequency.
- Use with caution and consult a healthcare professional if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Storage
- Store below 30 °C.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep in the original container and replace the cap securely after use.
- Discard the drops 4 weeks after opening the bottle.
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Common side effects can include:
- Temporary mild stinging.
- Temporary blurred vision immediately after instillation.
Uncommon or rare side effects can include:
- Allergic reactions (very rare), which may include increasing redness, swelling, itching, or rash around the eyes. If these occur, stop use and seek medical advice.
If your eyes are stinging badly or they get any worse, stop using the eye drops and contact your doctor or pharmacist.
