Hydromol Ointment is designed to restore the skin’s natural hydration and provide relief for dry, itchy, and irritated skin. Working by sealing in moisture, softening rough skin, and soothing irritation, making them ideal for conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and other dry skin conditions. As a thicker product than the cream, Hydromol ointment is perfect for intense hydration and protection, especially for very dry or cracked skin.
Cetomacrogol emulsifying wax (contains cetostearyl alcohol and macrogol cetostearyl ether), yellow soft paraffin and liquid paraffin.
As an emollient:
For all ages including babies:
- Apply liberally and frequently to the affected area(s) and smooth into the skin in direction of hair growth.
- Can be applied as often as required.
As a bath additive:
For all ages including babies:
- Melt hydromol ointment into warm water and then add to bath water.
As a soap substitute:
For all ages including babies:
- Use a soft towel to pat the skin dry, as rubbing can aggravate dry skin conditions.
- Use as an ordinary soap or shower gel. Though cream will not foam or lather.
For external use only.
Precautions
- Suitable for all ages from birth.
- Avoid contact to eyes and inside the nose.
- Hydromol products are flammable as they are paraffin containing. Do not smoke or go near naked flames when using Hydromol products. Ensure that fabric which has touched Hydromol is also kept away from a flame; this includes clothing and bedding.
- Hydromol products can be used during pregnancy, and whilst breast-feeding. If using when breastfeeding, apply sparingly and only after a feed. Gentle wipe away any remaining product from the nipple areas before the next feed.
- Do not use on broken, infected, or inflamed skin.
Storage
- Store below 25°C.
- Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Uncommon and rare side effects may include:
- Allergic reaction which can appear as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; sudden red itchy skin rash; wheezing; feeling faint or dizzy.
- Redness or irritation at site of application (usually only occurs when excess use in skin folds).
