Epaderm Ointment is a dermatologist-developed emollient designed for the whole family to soothe, hydrate, and protect dry skin caused by eczema, dermatitis, and dry skin. Fragrance-free, colouring-free, and irritant free, they form a protective moisture-locking barrier.

Cetomacrogol Emulsifying Wax BP. (contains Cetostearyl Alcohol and Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether 22), Yellow Soft Paraffin BP., Liquid Paraffin Ph. Eur.

As a moisturiser:

For all ages:

  • Apply daily as needed to dry areas.
  • Massage into the skin until fully absorbed.

 

As a skin cleaner:

For all ages:

  • Replace soap or shower gel with Epaderm.
  • Lather a small amount in the hands and apply to skin.
  • Ensure fully rinsed after use.

 

As a bath additive:

For all ages:

  • Dissolve a small amount (approx 4g) in hot water. Allow to cool slightly.
  • Add to bath for moisuturisation effect.

 

For external use only.

Precautions

  • Suitable for all ages from birth.
  • Avoid contact to eyes and inside the nose.
  • This product is flammable due to containing paraffin. Do not smoke or go near naked flames when using. Ensure that fabric which has touched this product is also kept away from a flame; this includes clothing and bedding.
  • This product can be used during pregnancy, and whilst breast-feeding. If using when breastfeeding, apply sparingly and only after a feed. Gentle wipe away any remaining product from the nipple areas before the next feed.
  • Do not use on broken, infected, or inflamed skin.

 

Storage

  • Store below 25°C.
  • Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
  • Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Uncommon and rare side effects may include:

  • Allergic reaction which can appear as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; sudden red itchy skin rash; wheezing; feeling faint or dizzy.
  • Redness or irritation at site of application (usually only occurs when excess use in skin folds).
