Diprobase

At The Family Chemist, we understand how important daily comfort is for eczema-prone skin. That’s why we offer Diprobase, available as a 500g cream. This dermatologically trusted emollient helps provide soothing, effective care to keep your skin calm, nourished, and protected.

What is Diprobase?

Diprobase Cream is a gentle, protective emollient developed to relieve dry, irritated, or eczema-prone skin. It works by creating a barrier over the skin with soft white paraffin and liquid paraffin, helping to lock in moisture and prevent further irritation. Ideal for treating conditions such as eczema and dermatitis, Diprobase helps soothe and protect the skin while restoring its natural balance.

Suitable for all ages, including children and babies, and safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding (though not to be applied directly to the breast area).

Using clean hands, apply a thin layer of cream or ointment to the affected area and gently massage in.

Diprobase can be reapplied throughout the day as often as needed, particularly advised after bathing or washing.

Ensure the cream is massaged until fully absorbed.

While Diprobase is suitable for most people, babies and children included, you should avoid Diprobase if you are allergic or sensitive to any of its ingredients.

Diprobase should be avoided on broken, infected, or weeping skin unless advised by a healthcare professional, and if you experience irritation, redness, stinging, or discomfort, stop using and consult a healthcare professional.

Diprobase cream is flammable as it is paraffin containing. Do not smoke or go near naked flames when using Diprobase. Ensure that fabric which has touched Diprobase is also kept away from a flame; this includes clothing and bedding.

Yes, Diprobase can be used during pregnancy, and whilst breast-feeding though should not be used directly on the breast area.
