Difflam Spray is a mouth and throat spray used to relieve pain, soreness, and inflammation. It contains benzydamine hydrochloride, a locally acting anti-inflammatory medicine that works directly at the site of discomfort to soothe irritation and reduce swelling. When sprayed onto affected areas, it provides targeted relief, helping to make swallowing and speaking more comfortable while symptoms improve.

Active Ingredients

Benzydamine hydrochloride 0.15%

Other Ingredients

Ethanol 8.1% w/v, glycerol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, mouthwash flavour, saccharin, sodium hydrogen carbonate, polysorbate 20, purified water.

Shake well before use.

Children under 6 years old:

  • Aim the nozzle directly at the sore area.
  • Use one spray per 4kg body weight.
  • Repeat every 1½ to 3 hours as required.
  • Wipe the nozzle after use to prevent blockage.

Do not use more than four sprays per dose.

 

 

Children aged 6 – 12 years old:

  • Aim the nozzle directly at the sore area.
  • Use four sprays directed onto the affected area.
  • Repeat every 1½ to 3 hours as required.
  • Wipe the nozzle after use to prevent blockage.

 

 

Adults and children over 12 years:

  • Aim the nozzle directly at the sore area.
  • Use 4–8 sprays directed onto the affected area
  • Repeat every 1½ to 3 hours as required
  • Wipe the nozzle after use to prevent blockage

 

For oral use only.

Precautions
  • Not suitable for children under 6 years old.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to benzydamine or any of the other ingredients.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes.
  • Do not use continuously for more than 7 days without medical advice.
  • Stop use and seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve or are accompanied by fever, difficulty swallowing, rash, or breathing problems.
  • Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have asthma, other medical conditions, or are taking other medicines.
Storage

Store below 30°C.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Store the bottle upright.

Do not refrigerate or freeze.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include:
  • Temporary numbness or tingling in the mouth
  • Mild burning or stinging sensation

 

Uncommon or rare side effects can include:
  • Allergic reactions such as skin rash or swelling

Stop using this product and seek medical help if signs of an allergic reaction occur.
