Dermol Lotion is a highly effective emollient used to treat dry skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. Offering quick relief, often within 10 minutes of application. Suitable for all ages from birth. This formulation contains antimicrobial agents, which help protect the skin against infection-causing bacteria. A rich emollient that provides deep hydration and helps to protect the skin from further irritation and infection.

Active Ingredients

Benzalkonium chloride 0.1%, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride 0.1%, liquid paraffin 2.5%, isopropyl myristate 2.5%

 

Other Ingredients

Cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether (cetomacrogol 1000), phenoxyethanol, and purified water.

As a leave-on application:

For all ages from birth:

  • Apply to the affected areas and gently smooth into the skin
  • If necessary allow any excess product to soak in.
  • Can be reapplied as often as needed for ongoing relief.

 

As a wash substitute:

For all ages from birth:

  • Use a soft towel to pat the skin dry, as rubbing can aggravate dry skin conditions.
  • Use as an ordinary soap or shower gel. Though cream will not foam or lather.

 

For external use only.

Precautions

  • Suitable for all ages from birth.
  • Dermol products are flammable as they are paraffin containing. Do not smoke or go near naked flames when using Dermol products. Ensure that fabric which has touched Dermol is also kept away from a flame; this includes clothing and bedding.
  • Dermol products can be used during pregnancy, and whilst breast-feeding. If using when breastfeeding, apply sparingly and only after a feed. Gentle wipe away any remaining product from the nipple areas before the next feed.

 

Storage

  • Store below 25°C.
  • Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
  • Keep out of sight and reach of children.
  • Always replace the cap after use.

Uncommon and rare side effects may include:

  • Allergic reaction which can appear as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; sudden red itchy skin rash; wheezing; feeling faint or dizzy.
  • Redness or irritation as site of application (usually only occurs when excess use in skin folds).
