Calpol Six Plus 250mg/5ml Oral Suspension (80ml)

Calpol Six Plus Liquid Suspension is a pain relief and fever-reducing medicine for children aged 6 years and over. It helps ease common symptoms like headache, sore throat, toothache, earache and raised temperature due to colds, flu or immunisations. This medicine contains paracetamol, a well-known painkiller and fever reliever.  

Active Ingredients

Paracetamol 250/5ml

Other Ingredients

Maltitol, E420, E218, E216, sweeteners, preservatives, strawberry flavouring, purified water.

Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use.

For children aged 6 – 8 years old:

• Give one 5ml (250mg) dose four times a day.

8 – 10 years:

• Give one 7.5ml (375mg) dose up to four times a day.

10 – 12 years:

• Give one 10ml (500mg) dose up to 4 times a day.

12 – 16 years:

• Give one 10ml to 15ml (500mg – 750mg) dose up to 4 times a day.

Adults and children over 16 years old:

• Give 10 ml to 20 ml (500mg – 1g) up to 4 times a day.

After use replace the cap on the top of the bottle tightly. Use the syringe or spoon for easy administration of medication. Always wash the syringe or spoon in warm water and allow to dry after each use. For oral use only.

Precautions

• Not suitable for children under 6 years old.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose, as taking too much paracetamol can cause serious liver damage. 
• This product should not be used at the same time as other medicines containing paracetamol.  
• If symptoms persist for more than three days, worsen, or if an overdose is suspected, seek medical advice immediately. 
• Stop use and consult a healthcare professional if any signs of an allergic reaction occur. 

Storage

• Store below 25°C.
• Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children. 

Common side effects can include:

• Mild nausea or upset stomach (sometimes reported)
• Mild rash or skin irritation in a few cases

Uncommon or rare side effects can include:

• Allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, unexplained wheezing, rash or hives
• Becoming unusually tired, unexpected bruising or bleeding, increased infections (very rare)
