Anusol Suppositories are a targeted treatment used to relieve symptoms of internal haemorrhoids, including itching, soreness, swelling, and irritation inside the back passage. They contain active ingredients that soothe itching, shrink piles and prevent bacterial growth which can promote healing. 

Active Ingredients

Zinc oxide 296mg, bismuth subgallate 59mg, balsam peru 49mg, bismuth oxide 24mg

Other Ingredients

Suppocire BC2 pastilles (hard fat), kaolin light, titanium dioxide (E171), miglyol 812. 

Adults over 18 years old:

  • Wash and dry the anal area.
  • Remove the plastic cover from the suppository.
  • Insert one suppository into the back passage far enough that is doesn’t slip out. 
  • Suppository will melt after insertion.
  • Insert at night, in the morning, and after bowel movements.

Wash hands before and after use. For rectal use only. 

Precautions
  • Not suitable for children under 18 years old. 
  • For short-term use only unless advised by a healthcare professional.  
  • Do not use if bleeding is severe or persistent.
  • If symptoms do not improve within the recommended treatment period, seek medical advice.  
  • Seek advice before using if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding or suffer from allergies.
  • If you have an underlying medical conditions, have any questions, or concerns about side effects you may experience, contact your GP or our pharmacist for advice.
  • If you develop severe side effects, stop using the product immediately and seek urgent medical attention.
Storage

Store below 25°C.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include:
  • Mild burning, itching, or irritation after use
Uncommon side effects can include:
  • Allergic reactions
  • Blurred vision
  • Skin thinning
  • Hormonal changes

Stop use and seek medical advice if severe symptoms occur.
