Anusol Plus HC Suppositories (Pack of 12)

Anusol HC Suppositories are a local treatment for relief from discomfort caused by internal piles (haemorrhoids). Anusol Plus HC contains hydrocortisone, a mild corticosteroid used to reduce inflammation, itching, and swelling associated with internal haemorrhoids. The added ingredient hydrocortisone reduces inflammation and itching by calming the immune response inside the affected area. The suppository form delivers soothing treatment directly where it’s needed. 

Active Ingredients

Hydrocortisone acetate 10mg, zinc oxide 296mg, bismuth subgallate 59mg, balsam peru 49mg, benzyl benzoate 33mg, bismuth oxide 24mg

Other Ingredients

Kaolin light, suppocire BC2 pastilles (hard fat).

Adults over 18 years old:

• Gently wash and dry the affected area.
• Remove one suppository from its plastic cover and insert it into your back passage far enough that it won’t slip out.
• Insert at night, first thing in the morning, and after each bowel movement.

Do not use more than three suppositories in a 24hr period. Do not use for more than seven consecutive days.

Precautions

• Not suitable for children under 18 years old.
• Avoid use if there is severe bleeding or infection.
• Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Storage

Store below 25°C.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include:

• Mild burning, itching, or irritation after use

Uncommon side effects can include:

• Allergic reactions
• Thinning of skin (seen after prolonged use)
