Anusol Cream is a topical treatment used to relieve symptoms associated with haemorrhoids, including itching, soreness, swelling, and irritation around the anal area. It contains soothing and protective ingredients that help calm irritation, reduce discomfort, shrink piles (haemorrhoids) and protect sensitive skin while supporting the natural healing process.
Active Ingredients
Bismuth oxide 2.14g, zinc oxide 10.75g, balsam peru 1.8g
Other ingredients
Glycerol monostearate, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, titanium dioxide (E171), methyl hydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl hydroxybenzoate (E216), water.
For external piles:
Adults over 18 years old:
- Wash and dry the area.
- Apply sparingly to the affected area.
- Use at night, in the morning, and after bowel movements.
For internal piles:
Adults over 18 years old:
- Wash and dry the area.
- Screw the nozzle provided onto the tube and remove the cap.
- Insert the nozzle into the back passage and squeeze gently.
- Use as night, in the morning, and after bowel movements.
- Clean nozzle after each use.
Wash hands before and after use. For rectal use only.
Precautions
- Not suitable for children under 18 years old.
- For short-term use only unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Do not use if bleeding is severe or persistent.
- If you have an underlying medical conditions, have any questions, or concerns about side effects you may experience, contact your GP or our pharmacist for advice.
- If you develop severe side effects, stop using the product immediately and seek urgent medical attention.
- If symptoms do not improve within the recommended treatment period, seek medical advice.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have ongoing bowel problems, consult a healthcare professional before use.
Storage
Do not store above 25°C.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Store with cap replaces and nozzle unattached.
Common side effects may include:
- Mild burning or stinging sensation.
- Redness or itching when first used. This usually lasts only a few minutes and often settles after a few days of treatment.
Uncommon side effects may include:
- Hypersensitivity rash.
