Anadin Extra 300mg/200mg/45mg Caplets (Pack of 32)

Anadin Extra is a pain-relief medication used to for short-term relief of mild to moderate pain and to reduce fever in adults and children over the age of 16 years old. Often used for the relief of headaches, migraine, period pain, and cold and flu symptoms, especially when pain is accompanied with tiredness or lack of concentration. 

Anadin Extra is designed to work quickly and effectively by combining three active ingredients; aspirin, paracetamol, and caffeine, which work together to reduce pain, fever, and tiredness. Aspirin and paracetamol help block pain signals and lower temperature, while caffeine boosts their pain relieving effect and helps reduce tiredness. 

Active Ingredients

Aspirin 300mg, paracetamol 200mg, caffeine 45mg

Other ingredients

Maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose (E460), hydrogenated vegetable oil, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (E646), polyethylene glycol, pregelatinised starch, povidone.

Adults and children over 16 years old: 

• Take one or two caplets every 4-6 hours as needed.  

Do not take more than eight caplets in a 24hr period. Always use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time. For oral use only. 

Precautions

• Not suitable for children under 16.  
• Do not use if allergic to aspirin, paracetamol, caffeine or other NSAIDs. 
• Avoid if you have stomach ulcers, history of stomach bleeding or a bleeding disorder. 
• Do not take with any other products containing paracetamol or NSAIDs.  
• Seek advice before using if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding or suffer from allergies.
• If you have an underlying medical conditions, have any questions, or concerns about side effects you may experience, contact your GP or our pharmacist for advice.
• If you develop severe side effects, stop using the product immediately and seek urgent medical attention.

Storage

Store below 25°C.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Common side effects can include:

• Stomach upset or discomfort
• Heartburn or indigestion
• Nausea
• Feeling restless or jittery (due to caffeine)
• Difficulty sleeping if taken late in the day

Uncommon side effects can include:

• Dizziness
• Headache
• Ringing in the ears (especially with high doses of aspirin)
• Increased heart rate or palpitations
• Mild skin rash
