Medicated face wash with 5% benzoyl peroxide to cleanse skin and help treat mild acne.

A medicated acne face wash containing the active ingredient of 5% benzoyl peroxide. Designed to help manage mild acne while cleansing the skin. Benzoyl peroxide works by killing acne-causing bacteria, helping to unblock pores and reduce excess oil, which can lead to fewer spots and breakouts.
Active Ingredient
Benzoyl peroxide 5%
Other ingredients
Acrylates copolymer, glycerol, carbomer 940, sodium C14-C16 olefin sulfonate, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment), purified water.
Adults and children over 12 years old:
Use on acne-prone areas, such as face (can also be used on chest or back if advised)
- Wet the skin.
- Apply a small amount and gently massage into the skin.
- Leave on for 1-2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
- Start once daily, increasing to twice daily if tolerated as part of a daily cleansing routine.
Precautions
- Not suitable for children under 12 years old.
- May cause dryness, redness, peeling or irritation, this is usually mild and often temporary.
- This treatment can bleach hair and fabrics.
- Seek advice before using if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding or suffer from allergies.
- If you have an underlying medical conditions, have any questions, or concerns about side effects you may experience, contact your GP or our pharmacist for advice.
- If you develop severe side effects, stop using the product immediately and seek urgent medical attention.
- Treatment for external use only.
Storage
Store below 25°C.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children.
Common side effects can include:
- Peeling of the skin
- Dry skin
- Tingling sensation
Uncommon side effects can include:
- Severe redness, itching, rashes or skin irritation
- Swelling on your face, eye lids or mouth
