Acnecide 5% Topical Aqueous Gel (30g)

Acnecide is a leave-on acne treatment containing an active ingredient of 5% Benzoyl Peroxide, a well-established antibacterial and keratolytic agent designed to effectively target and treat mild to moderate acne. 

Acnecide works by reducing the growth of acne-causing bacteria, unclogging pores, decreasing excess oil and reducing inflammation, which helps to improve the appearance of blackheads, whiteheads and spots. 

Active ingredients

Benzoyl peroxide 5% w/w

Other ingredients

Docusate sodium, disodium edetate, poloxamer 182, carbomer 940, propylene glycol, acrylates copolymer, glycerol, colloidal anhydrous silica, purified water, and sodium hydroxide.

Adult and children over 12 years old:

Suitable for acne-prone areas such as face, chest or back.

1. Wash with a mild cleanser and water. 
2. Then apply a thin layer once or twice a day to the entire affected areas, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. 
3. After application wash your hands thoroughly. If your skin becomes dry or starts to peel, reduce how often you apply the gel (for example, every other day) until your skin adjusts.

Common side effects can include:

• Peeling of the skin
• Dry skin
• Tingling sensation

Uncommon side effects can include:

• Severe redness, itching, rashes or skin irritation
• Swelling on your face, eye lids or mouth
