Celebrating Apprenticeship Week 2026

This week, we’re proud to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2026,  the biggest week in the apprenticeships and skills calendar, taking place from 9–15 February.

At The Family Chemist, investing in our people is a key part of how we grow. Apprenticeships give colleagues the opportunity to build skills, gain confidence and develop their careers, while making a meaningful contribution to the business from day one.

To mark the week, two of our colleagues, Dylan and Daisy, have shared their experiences.

“Completing my Customer Service apprenticeship at The Family Chemist has been a really positive experience. I was supported with one day a week working from home, flexible hours when needed, and additional time during busier periods of coursework. That level of trust and flexibility made a significant difference. It’s helped me develop both professionally and personally, and I’m genuinely grateful for the support I received.”

“My Business Admin apprenticeship at The Family Chemist has been such a rewarding part of my career. I had regular support from my manager, got to work with different departments, and learned lots of new systems and processes. When I first started, I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to take, but all the experience I’ve gained has helped me figure out what I enjoy and where I want to go next. I’ve grown so much in confidence, developed valuable skills, and felt supported the whole way through.”
