We offer both topical and oral treatment. Finasteride is an oral tablet which is the only clinically proven medicine that is able to slow hair loss and encourage new growth on the scalp. Treatments do work better if used early.
Propecia/Finasteride blocks the action of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. Finasteride blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the androgen responsible for male pattern hair loss. The effect of finasteride scalp will only last as long as the medicine is taken. When it is stopped, the hair will be lost.
Regaine/Minoxidil dilates the blood vessels in the scalp allowing for more blood flow to the hair follicles and encouraging hair growth.

You will notice peak hair growth after 4 months to 2 years, and treatment will need to be continued indefinitely. If there is no response after 1 year, we recommend you see a dermatologist for further advice.
